As an internet marketer we are always looking for new and free or low costs methods of advertising our home business opportunities. There are a gazillion ways to market for free but how do you know which ones are the best?
I have two favorites that are making a big impact on the search engines, Video marketing and Squidoo marketing. These are both social marketing sites and web 2.0 which both have high content and viewer exposure.
A Squidoo marketing lens is simple to setup even for a beginner who knows little or nothing about html or website design, they have step by step process to make it easy for you. You are free to market any product you like without fear of being removed. And if you look at many of the top 10 organic searches on Google you will see that many of them come from Squidoo.
The key marketing strategy the home business owner should bring to Squidoo is his or her own personality. When you create a lens you are encouraged to be yourself. Add modules that express you and your product or services. The more creative you are the higher your ratings are in the search engines and Squidoo.
Video marketing is much the same in that the more creative you are and the more you express yourself the more views you receive. The real difference here is obvious; this is not written form, rather in front of a camera. Some people are very uncomfortable with this method.
So, OK...you can still create expressive videos to promote your home business by using such products as PowerPoint and Audacity to create slide presentation with your voice as the narrator. These too can rank high in the organic search engines.
Both marketing methods are proven techniques to drive massive traffic to your online business. Your really success will boil down to whichever marketing method you are more comfortable with. However, whichever you chose make it fun. The "you" in these strategies is what connects to others and produces sales.
The key to success in any online business is driving traffic. If you can get just one creative video to go viral you will drive thousands of prospects to your sales page. Even if those leads are not the most targeted, this one video will provide as many sales as hundreds of articles, and email campaigns combined.
So get your creative juices going. Just go create your Squidoo lens and make some type of fun video. If you do it once, you will do it again and again and soon you will see those sales come rolling in. Have Fun!
